Can frontline workers self-direct their learning?

Bundled into the future of work topic is the idea of continuous learning. General skills will be important across a sector, while specific skills allow an employee to better deliver work for their employer. Less charted is the order in which new skills and operating procedures are shared with an employee.

In an article on HR outlet TrainingZone, I’ve attempted to bring together some content design princples for L&D leaders to use when thinking about using digital to deliver training content to frontline workers. Onboarding is the focus, a point in the Employee Experience when a new joiner is formulating their general opinion of the company, while trying to prove workplace competencies.
